Don’t you just love when you get a window view out of your hotel room? Especially, when that view has a great view of the ocean or city.  Now, imagine you just don’t have one window, but your entire room is one big window.  If you also love to sleep in a tent and be one with nature, then you have to spent a night in the “bubble lodge.”

This insanely cool room is located on the remote and exotic Mauritius. Mauritius, an Indian Ocean island nation, is known for its beaches, lagoons and reefs. The mountainous interior includes Black River Gorges National Park, with rainforests, waterfalls, hiking trails and wildlife like the flying fox.

Staying here, you would look out to the Bois Cheri jungle.  As you fall asleep in this remote area, the night time sky will come alive with countless stars. And when you wake up, you will feel like you are in a real-life lush jungle.

Now, for the record, this is not your standard camping in the forest or jungle. No no, this is high class “clamping.” The lodge is fully air-conditioned, because when you are staying in the tropics you need to cool off after a long day exploring the island.  The queen beds have luxurious linens along with a posh living and dining room.

There are two ways to experience this unique hotel.  If you want to live the high life, you can do for the ultimate experience.  This includes a private chef who will whip up gourmet meals along with an expert astrologer to take you on a personalized star-gazing expedition.  In addition, you’ll get private helicopter over the gorgeous islands.  So what does it cost for all of this?  Just a cool $1,800 for five nights.  That’s only $360 / night.

If you want a more simple get-a-way, you can rent the bubble on Airbnb for just $325 per night.

Regardless of which we approach, you can’t go wrong with this lodge.  Why not do something more adventurous than your typical hotel.  You only live once!
